Day 2 and it’s the Opening Ceremony at 2pm with prize-giving for Best Dressed Window.
The events from 12 noon until 3pm have all been moved into the Marquee as it is going to be another hot and sunny day!
Why not pop along to Carnival market at the Piazza 10am to 5.30pm and come on down to the Lawn in the evening for the Carnival Quiz – you’ve got to be in it to win it!
11am to 12 noon - Children’s Fun Run

A children’s fun run inside the arena. How many laps can they do in a set time? Registration is free – register from 10.30am.
12 noon - Teignmouth and Dawlish Rock Choir

2pm - Official Opening of Dawlish Celebrates Carnival 2022

The official opening of Carnival week led by the Mayor of Dawlish, Cllr Lisa Mayne with Mr England, Peter Cross, joined by local County, District and Town Councillors. A special blessing from the Churches Together in Dawlish and District. Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed Window competition held with the Dawlish Chamber of Trade and Commerce and the Virtual Dawlish in Bloom Competition by the Dawlish Garden Society.

3pm to 4.15pm - Step to Starz Lawn

Should be a great session to watch and there will be the opportunity for kids to join in too!

The Dawlish Celebrates Carnival quiz returns led by the great John O’D. As usual it will leave you wishing you had done more homework! Max 6 people per team. £2 per head. BYO drinks. Proceeds to Dawlish Celebrates Carnival.
