2pm – Official Opening of Dawlish Celebrates Carnival 2024 – BANDSTAND
The official opening of Carnival week by Great Uncle Bulgaria with local dignitaries including the Mayor of Dawlish Cllr Lin Goodman-Bradbury and the Dawlish Town Crier. Blessing by Christians Together in Dawlish and District.
Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed Window Competition, held with the Dawlish Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
The launch of the ‘Dawlish Wombles’ community litter picking group by Great Uncle Bulgaria.
2.30pm to 3.45pm – Town Crier Competition – MARQUEE
Come along to watch over 10 Town Criers compete for the Dawlish Trophy and prizes! Judged by a panel including the Mayor of Dawlish. Not only do they sound great but their regalia gives a great sense of occasion.
